Outside of Moscow
In the 19th century and up to 1920, a lot of British engineers, cotton spinning and textile specialists, as well as representatives of other professions, lived and worked outside of Moscow. With no other Anglican church closer to where they lived, the Anglican church in Moscow was their "parish" church, and all the baptisms, weddings and burials were recorded in its registers. For those whose records contained the place where they lived, I've created the map below. The majority of these people worked at cotton-spinning mills belonging to the Russian industrialists such as the Morozov or Khludov families. As everything else on this site, this map is not complete, and I'm in the process of adding more places, names and photos.
